Salmon Stories -
May Chapter Meeting
Please join us next Tuesday May 16th for Salmon Stories, our May Chapter Meeting, at Dirty Couch Brewing from 6:30pm to 8pm. We are stoked to have Cormac Toler-Scott from the Wetland Ecosystem team at the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at UW as our guest speaker. This lab has been monitoring the marine ecosystem adjacent to the newly ecoengineered seattle seawall in elliot bay to understand its impacts on juvenile salmon and other fish/inverts. Come on out next Tuesday to learn more!
May Clean & Cruise
We can't wait for another Clean & Cruise for 2023! This time join us at Golden Gardens on Saturday May 20th starting at 11am. Look for our big blue Surfrider Foundation tent, and we will have trash bags/buckets, gloves, and pickers for you to use. If you want to join us and Surf Ballard for our social paddle, we ask for those paddlers to return to the tent at 12pm and start making your way to Surf Ballard as we will start our social paddle at 1pm across the street from Surf Ballard. As for those not paddling, we will be at Golden Gardens all the way until 2pm. Families, children, and dogs are all welcome and encouraged! We hope to see you there!
