Seattle Chapter

About Us

The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network.

For more than 34 years, the Surfrider Foundation has been protecting what you love.

Our organization is part of one of the most powerful coastal protection groups in the world with over 500,000 members, 84 chapters, and 40 clubs.

The Surfrider Foundation Seattle Chapter is a grassroots organization made up of  local activists with a shared desire to protect the environmental quality of the Puget Sound region and the coast of Washington State. Our efforts include targeted letter writing campaigns, attendance at public hearings, in addition to hands-on beach cleanups and water quality improvement projects. We invite everyone who is passionate about protecting and preserving our state’s waters, ensuring beaches are accessible, protecting our ocean, and keeping plastic from polluting our waterways—to get involved.
