Hold On To Your Butt launch at Alki a success

By

6 Seattle chapter volunteers spent a morning at Alki talking with beachgoers about cigarette litter and the opportunity to clean up our beaches and streets through the Hold On To Your Butt campaign. West Seattle Blog already did 2 articles on this initiative; a general intro and one focused on the new canisters and outreach at Alki. The Alki Volleyball Association supported the initiative by announcements over their speaker system and giving an extra raffle ticket to each volleyball player for every 10 cigarette butts picked up. The community reception was overall very positive!

If you'd like to get more involved, please come to a Surfrider event or meeting to hear more, contact hotyb@seattle.surfrider.org, or find us on Twitter and Instagram.
