The Seattle Parks Commission will be considering a policy to make our parks smoke free tomorrow, April 16th, at 6:30. As a chapter who finds endless, in fact more than anything else, cigarette butts in our parks and on our beaches we support this policy and will be attending the hearing to voice our support! While completing her master's degree in Sustainable Development & Conservation Biology from the University of Maryland, Liz taught sustainability to undergraduate students while also volunteering as a docent at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum’s Ocean Hall. As Surfrider's Washington and Alaska Regional Manager, she supports the organization's five Washington chapters, three BC chapters, and Kenai Peninsula Chapter in their amazing work.
